Welcome to Edition 8.45 of the Rocket Report! Even though we are now two weeks removed from the catastrophic loss of the New Glenn rocket and its LC-36A launch pad, it continues to dominate discussion in the space community.
Rocket Lab Corporation (Nasdaq: RKLB), a global leader in launch services and space systems, today announced today its inclusion in the Nasdaq-100 Index. This milestone places Rocket Lab among the 100 largest non-financial companies listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market.
Shares of Virgin Galactic (NYSE:SPCE) are down 24% in early Friday trading, while Rocket Lab (NASDAQ:RKLB | RKLB Price Prediction) stock is down 8% and AST SpaceMobile (NASDAQ:ASTS) stock is trading 10% lower.
SpaceX’s S-1 filing disclosed that in the first quarter of 2026, Starlink generated close to $3.3 billion in revenue, which is about 69 percent of SpaceX’s total $4.7 billion quarterly revenue. In fiscal 2025, Starlink generated $11.4 billion of a total of $18.7 billion, which is about 61 percent.
NASA’s Artemis program has little room for error if it is to land astronauts on the moon by the end of 2028, but Blue Origin could be out of commission for at least a year.
SpaceX is, to say the least, an ambitious company. It’s planning to commercialize, among other things, space-based data centers, the moon and Mars. Whether it can pull any of that off relies on a 407-foot-tall rocket.
