Meet Mono! Mono (named after the word “monotreme,” meaning egg-laying mammal) is a short-beaked echidna. She arrived from Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and has now completed her settling-in period. Mono is on display in her new enclosure, which is next to the kangaroo and emu paddock. In case you are wondering why Mono has two colourful pegs on her spines, these are identification tags.
