⚠️❄️ This was the scene on the A46 after several cars slid off the road this morning. Thankfully no-one is believed to have been seriously hurt but one person was cut from their vehicle on the road between Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. A BBC reporter at the scene said snow overnight had left conditions "treacherous" with "at least five vehicles" having left the road, between Six Hills and Widmerpool, some of which were in ditches. Road closures are currently in place on the A46 Painswick Road due to a fallen tree. Police were called at around 2.20am this morning (Tuesday) following a report that a tree was blocking the road on Cooper’s Hill. National Highways have been made aware and the road will remain closed for some time to allow contractors to clear the obstruction. A motorcyclist has been seriously injured. Emergency services are currently dealing with a serious road traffic collision on Gynsill Lane between Glenfield and Anstey. The road is closed, between the junctions of the A46 and the A50 until further notice. The collision involves a motorcyclist and a car. Air ambulance attended along with Leicestershire fire service. The motorcyclist has been taken to hospital by road ambulance. We have no details on the injuries at this time. The road will remain
